Carrot face masks give healthy and glowing skin
Carrots have always been appreciated and consumed for its health benefits. It is a highly valued vegetable as it contains lots of glucose, cobalt, iodine, salt of potassium, iron, iodine and other vitamins like C, D, K, E and B group vitamins. These nutrients can also help improve your skin when applied as face masks; so here are some carrot masks meant for different skin types.
- For normal skin
Mix a teaspoon each of oatmeal, lemon juice and fresh grated carrot with half and egg-yolk and apply the mask to your face. Leave it for 20 minutes and wash off with warm water. Regular use of this face mask gives your skin natural nutrition and colour.
- For dry skin
Mix a tablespoon each of sour cream and cucumber juice with the juice of one grated coconut. Apply and leave on your face for 15 minutes and then wash off with cool water for soft and velvety skin.
- For oily skin
Mix 2 tablespoons of sauerkraut juice with 3 tablespoons of carrot juice and then wet some gauze napkins in the mixture. Leave it on the face for 5 minutes and then wash. Use a few times a week for tender and healthy skin.
- An anti-aging mask
Mix a tablespoon each of rice flour, lemon juice, curdled milk and carrot juice and apply the mask on the face for 20-25 minutes. Wash off with cold water.
- For inflamed skin
Mix a teaspoon each of grated carrot, potato and beet with a tablespoon of kefir and apply to the face. Rinse off first with warm water after 10-15 minutes and then with cold water for soothing relief to your skin.
- Mask for all skin types
Mix a tablespoon each of grated carrot and grated apples and apply to your face. Leave it on for 15-20 minutes and then wash off with warm water for a great nourishing and moistening effect.
- A lotion for freckles
If you have freckles, you can try this to slowly get rid of them. Mix a tablespoon of carrot juice with 5 drops of lemon juice. Make it a point to clean your face with this lotion every evening before sleeping but do not use it before you go out.
