Coconut oil helps lighten dark armpits

  1. Extract some juice from potatoes by grating and squeezing its juice and then apply it to your underarms using your fingers or a cotton ball. Wash off after leaving it on for about 10 minutes. As this juice is a great bleaching agent, it helps greatly at treating the problem.
  2. Another option is to take a thin potato slice and rub your underarms with it for about 5 to 10 minutes and wash off with lukewarm water. For faster and better results, apply potatoes for about twice a day. You will get lightened skin in your armpits within seven days’ time.
  3. Try applying some baking soda under your arms after taking a bath to cure your dark underarms. It works as baking soda is a good drying agent which can absorb all the excessive sweat from the skin.
  4. In case your armpits got dark because of chemical deodorants, it’s better to replace the deodorant with alum powder. Similarly, substitute anti perspirants with anti-fungal powder.
  5. Gram flour offers a simple natural remedy too. Just apply a paste of a tablespoon of the flour and a teaspoon each of curd and milk. Apply this paste every day for an effective treatment for dark underarms.

  7. Also keep your body well hydrated as dry skin can lead to complications which lead to darkened underarms.
  8. Coconut oil is good for skin and can also lighten your skin with its vitamin E contents. You just need to rub some oil under your arms before taking a shower and wash off using lukewarm water and a mild soap. If you don’t like coconut oil for its smell, you can also apply pure vitamin E oil to lighten your underarm skin.
