Nighttime beauty regime for your feet and eyes

The skin is the one organ which is constantly exposed to the harsh environmental elements, dirt and sun’s rays throughout the day. This is why you need to place particular emphasis at taking care of your skin, which is best done at night when you are asleep. Yes, with the help of some skin products, you can let your skin do its work at rejuvenating your skin while you take your nightly eight hours of sleep.

Eye creams

The eye area is first to show signs of aging, and thus needs to be taken care of properly. So remove all your eye makeup and then apply some eye cream before sleeping. This cream helps moisturize, hydrate and de-puff your eyes and reduce dark circles. It also minimizes wrinkles and helps to temporarily tighten the area under the eyes.

It’s always better to use a lightweight cream containing ingredients like antioxidants, peptides, caffeine and brighteners. When applying, start gently massaging from the inner eye corners towards the outer corners.

Teeth

Always brush and floss your teeth after dinner and before going to sleep to keep your mouth free of germs, infections and cavities. It also helps avoid serious bad breath in the morning. It’s better to use a soft-bristle toothbrush and a fluoride toothpaste, and brush your teeth for at least 2 minutes.

Make sure you brush both the inner and outer teeth surfaces, floss your teeth and rinse your mouth with warm water. If you do this every night before sleeping, you are assured a beautiful smile the next day. Just remember to brush your teeth only after half an hour of having your meal, especially if you had an acidic meal as brushing immediately after meals can push the acid deeper into the dentin.

Feet

Now you need to pay some attention to your feet, which are a true reflection of your beauty and personality. First wash your feet with warm water and pat dry. Then apply some foot cream or petroleum jelly on the dry and rough skin on your feet to prevent any cracking of heels and to make them soft.

Now cover your feet with some old socks and go to bed. If you have time, massaging your feet in circular motions for at least five minutes every day helps you relax and make you sleep better.

Regular use of petroleum jelly on your feet, applying eye cream around your eyes and brushing and flossing your teeth help rejuvenate your skin and eliminate fine lines and wrinkles while you sleep.
