Use lemon to remove blackheads on nose

Blackheads are also called comedones which occur when the skin pores get clogged with dirt, oil and bacteria. They are usually white at first, but gradually become dark deep black on exposure to air and environmental pollutants.

People who have blackheads wonder how to get rid of it. They feel embarrassed making public appearances with these tiny dark spots on their nose and face, and thus just want to get rid of it.

There are various triggers and causes for blackheads like wrong skin cosmetics, hormonal imbalances and improper skin hygiene. Whatever the reason may be, you can easily remove blackheads on nose without leaving holes on the skin with the help of these home remedies.

Different home remedies using lemon

When mixed, lemon and salt become a very effective antibacterial and cleansing scrub. A rich source of citric acid and natural astringent, lemon not only cleanses but also makes your skin brighter while fighting off the germs inside your skin pores.

Lemon also regulates oil production on the skin to prevent further formation of blackheads. The antibacterial properties of salt helps combat germs and bacteria which clog your pores. It is also an exfoliant which scours off excessive dead cells, grime and dirt from the skin.

Mix half teaspoon lemon with 1 tablespoon sea salt and 1 teaspoon water and apply on your nose and face, if you have blackheads there. Massage the area with circular strokes for 2-4 minutes and don’t be harsh while rubbing. Wash off first with lukewarm water and then with cold water so that the opened pores close again. Use the scrub only once or twice a week and do not step into the sun after applying lemon juice to your skin as it makes your skin sensitive to sunrays.

Brown sugar and honey does more than sweeten food

Brown sugar is a good exfoliator which can be used on sensitive skin. It deep cleanses your skin by sloughing off dead cells and extra skin oil. It also has alpha hydroxyl acids which pulls out toxins and germs from your skin pores.

A natural antibacterial agent, honey also moisturizes and softens your skin. Honey also sticks to all the gunk in open skin pores and pulls it out when used as a skin scrub. Mix a tablespoon of brown sugar with a teaspoon of honey and apply to your nose. Gently massage for about 2-5 minutes and then first wash off with lukewarm water and then with cold water, and pat dry the skin.
