Oatmeal and nutmeg for removing blackheads on nose

Milk helps too

Another effective paste you can use for removing blackheads on your nose comprises of milk and nutmeg, which is best if you have oily skin. This is because nutmeg effectively removes excess oil and its powder has a fine scrubby effect which exfoliates your skin well to give you smooth skin.

Milk only enhances the effect with its lactic acid which breaks down old and dead skin cells. You will feel a great difference after using this milk-nutmeg scrub wherein you end up with only few or no blackheads on your nose.

To make the paste, add 1-2 teaspoon nutmeg powder to sufficient milk to get a paste like consistency. After washing your face to cleanse it, apply the nutmeg-milk paste onto your nose and surrounding skin which has blackheads.

While you should gently rub in the paste using circular motions, don’t exert too much of pressure. This is because too much scrubbing with harsh hands only aggravate the problem of blackheads. Keep on rubbing gently for 3-5 minutes and then wash off your face.

Another use for almonds

Even almond proves helpful at removing blackheads on stubborn parts like your nose. Almond not only sloughs off the dead cells, they also regulate excessive oil secretions so that you don’t’ end up with clogged pores. Almond is mixed with yogurt, which is gentle on the skin and has good bacteria which kills bad bacteria. Its AHA is also helpful at exfoliating dead cells.

To make the paste, mix 5 almonds or 1-2 tbsp. of almond powder with 1 tbsp. yogurt. In case of whole almonds, soak them overnight or at least 3-4 hours and grind to make a coarse paste. Then add this paste to the yogurt.

Apply the paste to your nose and gently rub in circular motions for 3-5 minutes. Leave it on for 5-10 minutes and then wash off with lukewarm water first, and then wash with cold water after a while.
