7 tips for relief from rashes

  • Try using calendula essential oil, witch hazel, St.John’s wort and other similar herbal remedies with astringent properties to get rid of rashes. Even tea tree oil and margosa oil helps treat skin infections.
  • Taking an oatmeal bath is one of the most effective home treatments available for skin rashes. Just add a cup of oatmeal to your bath water and soak in it for about 15 to 20 minutes. It helps soothe the itching, inflammation and burning sensation of rashes. Oatmeal baths also helps get rid of heat rash, diaper rash, dry skin and chicken pox.
  • You can also try rubbing some baking powder on the affected area to help heal the rash by drying it.
  • In case of heat rash, you can try applying the juice of jewel weed on the affected area. This is a natural cure wherein juice extracted from the lower part of the stem provides best results. It’s better to apply the juice when you first see the signs and symptoms of prickly heat.

These home remedies are made using basic ingredients found at home, but are really helpful at providing great relief from all the itchiness, irritation, burning sensation and redness associated with rashes.
